Since our start in 1984, the expert advisors of the Albany SBDC have worked directly with 18,281 businesses, helping them to invest $248,684,205 in the area's economy, who have created or saved 9,311 jobs.

The Center assists entrepreneurs in all segments of business including manufacturing, service and retail. We place special focus on high technology firms, veteran-owned businesses, and defense contractors. We have developed strong contacts with lending institutions; equity investors; federal, county and municipal programs; and other service providers throughout the region. When you go through our door, doors to many other opportunities swing open.

If you or your business reside in New York, the SBDC can maneuver you around the obstacles to success.  Among other things, we help our clients:

  • prepare for e-commerce
  • identify avenues for exporting goods & services
